Role Purpose:
The F&B Officer supports the day-to-day coordination and administration of the museum's food and beverage operations. Acting as a key communication link between F&B operators, internal departments, and the wider Commercial team, this role ensures smooth operations, accurate reporting, and consistent guest experience standards across all F&B spaces
This is a purposefully designed development opportunity for a new graduate with an interest in hospitality, commercial operations, cultural destinations, and visitor experience. The Officer will work closely with the F&B Specialist and Head of F&B & Retail to build a strong operational foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Operator Coordination
- Support day-to-day communication with permanent and temporary F&B operators
- Track daily operational updates, issues, and follow-ups, escalating as needed to the F&B Specialist
- Act as a coordination point between operators and internal departments including Facilities Management, Security, IT, Events, Marketing, and Visitor Experience
- Maintain action trackers and ensure all open items are followed through to resolution
2. Operational Monitoring & Site Checks
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of all F&B areas to assess presentation, cleanliness, queue management, menu availability, and branding consistency
- Monitor guest-facing standards and escalate operational concerns promptly
- Support implementation of corrective actions arising from operator audits or visitor feedback
3. Reporting & Administration
- Collect and organize operator reports and supporting documentation on a scheduled basis
- Maintain and update internal trackers covering sales submissions, operational issues, guest feedback, action logs, and meeting minutes
- Prepare weekly operational summaries and dashboards for review by the F&B Specialist
- Support compliance documentation, including license renewals, HSE submissions, and insurance certificates
4. Event & Activation Support
- Coordinate F&B logistics for museum events, seasonal activations, corporate functions, and temporary operator programmes
- Assist with vendor access coordination, internal approvals, setup timelines, and documentation
- Liaise with Events and Marketing teams to ensure F&B requirements are captured and delivered on time
5. Continuous Improvement
- Capture recurring operational issues and visitor or operator feedback for review with the F&B Specialist
- Support improvements to operational processes, standard operating procedures, and communication workflows
- Contribute actively to team debrief sessions and post-event reviews
Experience & Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field
Experience
- Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience in an operations, hospitality, or event management role
- Genuine interest in hospitality, tourism, cultural destinations, or commercial operations
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Arabic and English
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
