About you:
We
seek to appoint an outstanding Acting Assistant Head – Arabic & Islamic
studies with teach Arabic to join our team in August 2025.
The role will involve working alongside the Deputy
Headteacher & Strategic Advisor to improve teaching & learning, working
in collaboration with the middle leaders and other departments to enhance
teaching pedagogies, curriculum and assessment of the Arabic and Islamic
Studies department. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a
proven track record within curriculum, assessment and/or staff development and
be willing to lead and/or support in the promotion of the Arabic & Islamic
Studies department.
The
successful candidate would be classroom-based but with non-contact time within
their teaching timetable.
We are looking for certain qualities:
The Acting
Assistant Headteacher should hold, as a minimum, a B.A in Arabic
Literature.
The candidate must
be an outstanding practitioner, middle leadership experience is desirable
but not essential. A proven track record of improving teaching and raising
standards in a demanding environment.
A commitment to
deliver on the educational vision for the school and work along with the
Deputy Headteacher & Strategic Advisor & Middle Leadership team to
shape the school’s strategic direction in leading the department on its
journey to outstanding.
A creative
practitioner who leads by example and can inspire and motivate &
develop excellence in others.
Ability to build
and maintain outstanding relationships
Ability to remain
positive and enthusiastic when working under pressure
Ability to
