Job Title: Junior Facility Engineer (Electrical/MEP)

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Facility Engineer with a specialization in Electrical or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineering. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance, operation, and improvement of our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for our tenants and visitors. This position reports to the Senior Engineer and assists in various facility management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance and repair of the buiding but not limited to electrical and MEP systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all facility systems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory of spare parts.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Support energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Collaborate with senior engineer and contractors to plan and execute facility improvement projects.
Assist the Senior Engineer in various tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in facility management or a similar role, preferably in a shopping malls or commercial buildings.
Strong knowledge of electrical and MEP systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety.
Proficient in reading and understanding cross-domain drawings (MEP, architectural, and fit-outs).
Willing to learn and possess a can-do attitude with multicultural teams.
Proficient in English and Hindi; proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
