Overview:
As Strength and Conditioning Coach for the First Team at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will play a central role in designing and delivering world-class physical performance programmes for elite footballers. Working within a multidisciplinary performance department, you will help maximise player availability, enhance athletic development, and support match readiness across a demanding competitive calendar.
This role is heavily focused on gym-based strength programming, while also contributing to broader on-pitch physical preparation and return-to-performance strategies. You will work closely with coaching, medical, nutrition, and performance staff to ensure an integrated and evidence-led approach across the first-team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Development
- Design and implement individualised strength and conditioning programmes tailored to player needs, positional demands, and competition schedules.
- Deliver high-level gym-based performance sessions focused on strength, power, movement efficiency, and injury mitigation.
- Support match readiness and long-term athletic development across the first-team squad.
- Contribute to on-pitch conditioning and physical preparation sessions where required.
Monitoring & Data Analysis
Use advanced monitoring tools and performance technologies to track player development and inform training decisions.
Analyse physical performance data to optimise training outcomes and reduce injury risk.
Support testing protocols and benchmarking processes across the squad.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with medical, rehabilitation, nutrition, and technical staff to deliver a fully integrated performance programme.
- Collaborate with goalkeeper-specific S&C support staff to align physical development strategies across the wider squad.
- Communicate effectively with players and staff to ensure clarity, engagement, and accountability throughout the training process.
Innovation & Best Practice
- Remain up to date with current research, technologies, and methodologies within elite performance and strength conditioning.
- Contribute new ideas and forward-thinking approaches to maintain competitive advantage within the department.
- Help foster a high-performance culture built around collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional standards.
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional gym environment.
- Monitor equipment quality and oversee maintenance requirements where necessary.
- Travel with the team as required throughout the season.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Head of Performance or Senior S&C Coach.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, or a related field.
Desirable:
- PhD specialising in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation or registration with a recognised governing body.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience working with elite or first-team football players within a high-performance environment.
- Strong background in programme design and implementation for elite athletes.
- Expertise across multiple training modalities including strength development, functional movement, neuromuscular control, and performance optimisation.
- Ability to interpret and apply performance data to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary environments.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Desirable:
- Experience working within high-volume competition schedules, including international travel.
- Previous experience working within Middle Eastern football environments.
- Additional language skills, particularly Arabic.
