Starting Pay Rate:$19.00 – $21.00 per hourbased on previous experience and education.
Job Description
Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
Provide direction to lower levelled Cooks as assigned.
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good safety and sanitation.
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
Qualifications
Culinary degree and 2 years of cooking experience OR 5 years of related cooking experience
Experience and proficiency in both a la carte and production cooking
Valid food handler certificate
Able to meet the physical demands of the position
Self-motivated
Able to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
