Job responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with national safety standards and regulations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in fire alarm systems utilizing specialized tools and equipment to determine the root cause of malfunctions
- Install and configure new fire alarm systems including wiring, panel setup, and device placement to maximize safety and efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and installations providing detailed reports for compliance and safety audits
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education in electronics or fire safety preferred.
- Certification in fire alarm systems, such as NICET, is highly desirable to validate technical expertise.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fire alarm installation, maintenance, or repair to ensure proficiency.
- Familiarity with local and national fire codes and standards to ensure compliance and safety.
