Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fire Alarm Engineer role based in Doha, Qatar. The Fire Alarm Engineer will design, install, test, and commission fire alarm systems in alignment with local codes and OMS standards. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, preparing technical documentation, configuring control panels and devices, and performing system troubleshooting and repairs. The role involves coordinating with project teams and clients, supporting QCDD approval processes, and ensuring that all work meets fire and life safety requirements. The Fire Alarm Engineer will also participate in preventive maintenance activities, provide technical guidance to technicians, and contribute to continuous improvement of OMS fire alarm services.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, control panels, detectors, and associated field devices, with the ability to design, install, test, and commission systems.
- Experience in fire and life safety engineering, fire protection systems, and familiarity with QCDD requirements and local fire codes in Qatar.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and MEP equipment, including systematic fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, drawings, reports, and compliance records with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal project teams on-site.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Fire Protection Engineering) or equivalent technical certification.
- Previous experience in fire alarm engineering or similar roles, preferably within Qatar or the GCC region.
- QCDD certification or eligibility to obtain QCDD approval is an advantage.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to adhering to OMS procedures and industry best practices.
