We are looking for a skilled Finishing Carpenter to join our furniture manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have experience in furniture assembly, finishing, installation, and quality checking of custom‑made furniture. The role requires attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to deliver high‑quality finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform finishing and assembly of custom‑made furniture according to drawings and specifications.
- Install hardware including hinges, drawer runners, handles, locks, and accessories.
- Carry out edge finishing, touch‑ups, adjustments, and final quality checks.
- Ensure furniture is assembled accurately before delivery or installation.
- Read and understand shop drawings and production details.
- Repair minor defects and ensure products meet company quality standards.
- Assist in furniture installation at customer sites when required.
- Operate woodworking tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Report material shortages, defects, or production issues to supervisors.
- Follow company safety procedures and workshop guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Finishing Carpenter in a furniture manufacturing company.
- Experience with custom‑made furniture such as wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, beds, and loose furniture.
- Ability to read furniture shop drawings.
- Knowledge of furniture hardware, fittings, and installation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
- Physically fit and capable of handling furniture components.
