Role Description The Finisher role at AFM is a full-time, on-site position based in Ajman Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Finisher is responsible for carrying out final surface preparation and finishing of metal kitchen equipment, including grinding, polishing, deburring, and cleaning components to meet quality and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, inspecting completed items for defects, and making necessary adjustments to achieve the required finish. The role also involves using hand tools and machinery safely, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and reporting any issues with materials or equipment. The Finisher will collaborate closely with fabricators, welders, and supervisors to ensure products are completed on time and according to client specifications.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in metal finishing processes such as grinding, polishing, deburring, and surface preparation for stainless steel or similar materials.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, measurements, and specifications relevant to kitchen equipment fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail, quality inspection skills, and commitment to maintaining high finishing standards and product consistency.
- Knowledge of safe operation of finishing tools and machinery, and adherence to workplace health, safety, and housekeeping practices.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, kitchen equipment manufacturing, or a related industrial environment is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, stand for extended periods, and handle materials and tools required for the finishing process.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to follow instructions and meet production deadlines.
- Vocational training, technical certification, or equivalent on-the-job experience in metalwork or a related trade is an advantage.
