Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control, and strategic financial planning to maximize profitability. The Financial Controller also provides guidance to the executive team on financial performance, risk management, and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.

Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts.

Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

Assist department heads in understanding and managing their financial responsibilities.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures.

Ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and statutory reporting.

Liaise with auditors, banks, legal entities, and government authorities.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Manage cash flow and ensure availability of funds for operations and projects.

Oversee banking relationships and optimize working capital.

Cost Control & Profitability

Monitor departmental expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Analyze revenue streams and advise on pricing strategies.

Support procurement with supplier negotiations and cost evaluation.

Team Leadership & Development

Supervise finance team members, including accountants and night auditors.

Conduct regular training to enhance financial knowledge across departments.

Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and integrity.

Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA / ACCA / CIMA preferred).

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in hospitality finance, with at least 3 years in a similar role.

Strong understanding of hotel operations and financial systems (e.g., Opera, Sun Systems, Micros, Oracle).

Fluent in English;
Arabic is a plus.

Experience working in the Middle East / GCC region is an advantage.
