Financial Accountant Specialist

As Lendo continues to grow, we’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our expanding Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations while supporting payroll, banking relationships, tax compliance and month-end reporting. Working closely with senior Finance leaders, you’ll gain exposure to commercial finance and business partnering, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop into a broader finance role within a fast-growing fintech.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting

• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.

• Maintain General Ledger accuracy and financial records.

• Support audit requests and financial reporting requirements.

Payroll

• Process monthly payroll accurately and confidentially.

• Prepare payroll reconciliations.

• Coordinate payroll inputs with HR.

• Resolve payroll-related queries.

Banking & Treasury

• Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple banking partners.

• Follow up proactively on banking requests and documentation.

• Coordinate account openings, amendments and banking documentation.

• Monitor banking transactions and support treasury activities.

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare VAT returns.

• Prepare withholding tax filings.

• Maintain supporting documentation for regulatory compliance.

• Assist with statutory reporting requirements.

Business Partnering

• Support senior Finance leaders with financial analysis.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Prepare management reports.

• Develop commercial understanding of the business to become a future Finance Business Partner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role.

• Experience processing payroll and maintaining strict confidentiality when handling employee information.

• Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns, with exposure to withholding tax filings being advantageous.

• Experience managing relationships with banks and external stakeholders, with the confidence to proactively follow up and resolve issues.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.

• Highly organised with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential financial and payroll information.

• Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
