As part of our growth in the region, we are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our newly established office in Dubai DMCC.Role
Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and DMCC standards, and supporting financial operations related to ongoing engineering and construction projects in Middle East. Experience in the oil and gas industry and exposure to cross-border project accounting is highly desirable.
What You’ll DoPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS & local GAAP).Ensure timely month-end closings and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and project accounts.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Manage client invoicing, supplier payments, and collections.
Post AP/AR transactions with complete documentation and accuracy.
Project Accounting & Budgeting Track and monitor project expenditures across Middle East operations.
Align spending with budgets; coordinate closely with project and procurement teams.
Support preparation of project-specific forecasts and reports.
Compliance & Audit Ensure VAT compliance and adherence to DMCC regulations.
Assist with internal and external audits and maintain documentation for tax and statutory reporting.
Coordinate with local Middle East consultants for compliance matters.
What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA certification preferred.
5+ years in a similar role, including 4+ years in oil & gas or engineering.
Experience with
DMCC or other UAE free zone entities.
Technical Skills Strong grasp of IFRS, UAE tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
Hands-on
with ERP systems (Odoo, Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, etc.).Nice to Have Familiarity with
financial compliance
/taxation in the Middle East.
