Job Summary
- Responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, strong cash-flow management, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Support management with financial analysis and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, collections, and supplier payments.
- Monitor sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and profitability.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs.
- Control inventory valuation, stock movements, and slow/expired stock.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely tax/VAT compliance and statutory reporting, as applicable.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall financial efficiency.
- Provide management with financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations.
- Supervise and develop the finance/accounting team.
- Ensure accurate and timely data in ERP/accounting systems.
Industry-Specific Experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical distribution, medical supplies, pharmacy, healthcare, or retail is preferred.
- Good understanding of inventory-heavy businesses, product margins, credit control, supplier management, and working capital.
- Experience handling high-volume transactions and multiple branches/outlets is an advantage.
