About Your Team

Our Finance team works closely with operational and commercial leaders to deliver accurate financial reporting, robust governance, and meaningful business insights. Supporting a fast-paced manufacturing business, the team focuses on financial planning, budgeting, cost optimisation, and operational performance while maintaining the highest standards of financial control and compliance.

Working directly with the Group Finance Director and senior business stakeholders, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence.

Your Role

As a Finance and Operations Manager – Manufacturing, you will:

  • Lead the financial management, reporting, and governance activities across the manufacturing business unit.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes, ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives.
  • Deliver meaningful financial analysis and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve profitability, margins, and overall business performance.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management to optimise financial performance.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, driving performance, capability, and succession planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, reporting, and controls.
  • Champion automation, innovation, and efficiency initiatives that improve financial operations.
  • Support ESG initiatives and promote sustainable business practices across the function.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support strategic projects and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting expertise.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong analytical and decision-support capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial governance, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Proven experience partnering with operational stakeholders to improve business performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced financial analysis tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

It Would Be an Advantage If You Have

  • Experience within manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries.
  • Experience using SAP ERP.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Proven success leading finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in finance, commercial finance, or business partnering roles.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
  • Experience leading finance teams within complex, multi-stakeholder organisations.
  • Manufacturing or project-based industry experience would be highly advantageous.
