We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager with 10+ years of experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, specifically within the software industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial operations in SaaS, IT services, or software development businesses and be adept at handling revenue recognition, cost management, and compliance in a fast-paced tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Develop and manage financial models, budgets, and forecasts tailored to the software industry.
Revenue & Cost Management:
Oversee revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15), SaaS-based financial models, cost optimization, and profitability analysis.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Cash Flow & Investment Management:
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and investment strategies to support business growth.
Taxation & Audits:
Manage tax planning, audits, and compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the software sector.
Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and engineering, to align financial goals with business strategy.
Process Improvement:
Implement best practices for financial controls, automation, and efficiency in financial reporting and operations.
Mergers & Acquisitions (if applicable):
Support due diligence and financial analysis for potential M&A activities in the tech space.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in the software/IT industry.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA is a plus.
Strong understanding of SaaS financial models, revenue recognition (GAAP/IFRS), and financial reporting for tech companies.
Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite), and financial planning tools (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
Experience in taxation, audits, and compliance frameworks relevant to the software industry.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Previous experience in SaaS, IT services, or software development companies is preferred.
Knowledge of fundraising, venture capital, or private equity financing in tech startups is a plus.
Exposure to subscription-based revenue models and pricing strategies is an advantage.
