About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Finance Manager to take end-to-end ownership of the finance function across multiple Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). This is a broad and strategic role that combines project finance, treasury management, financial reporting, governance, business partnering, and operational finance leadership.
The successful candidate will ensure financial integrity, liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and robust financial controls while providing insightful analysis to support key commercial and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy, Funding & Liquidity
- Manage project finance facilities, including debt drawdowns and lender reporting.
- Prepare utilization requests, verify conditions precedent/subsequent, and coordinate funding activities with agent banks.
- Manage Debt Service Reserve Accounts (DSRA), including monitoring requirements, funding shortfalls, and release mechanisms.
- Optimize interest periods and hedging arrangements to ensure alignment with debt profiles and minimize financing costs.
- Monitor covenant compliance, including calculation and certification of key ratios such as DSCR and LLCR.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
- Prepare sensitivity analyses and downside scenarios to support decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify and communicate emerging financial, cost, and schedule risks.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for all SPVs under IFRS.
- Manage period-end close processes and ensure accuracy of accounting judgments.
- Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure financial data integrity across the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets processes.
- Lead external audit processes and ensure timely closure of audit deliverables.
Management Reporting & Business Partnering
- Prepare monthly financial and performance reports for management and shareholders.
- Develop KPI dashboards and financial analytics to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial and investment decisions.
Tax, VAT & Insurance Compliance
- Oversee VAT filings, reconciliations, refund claims, and compliance requirements.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and support regulatory audits and reviews.
- Coordinate insurance renewals and claims activities.
Financial Operations & Systems
- Oversee outsourced accounting providers and ensure service quality and compliance.
- Manage ERP workflows, access controls, and approval hierarchies.
- Ensure robust payment controls, mandate management, and fraud prevention measures.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Significant experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, or asset-heavy industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, treasury, budgeting, cash management, and financial controls.
- Experience managing lender relationships and working within project-financed environments.
- Advanced analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel/financial modelling.
