About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Executive to manage and administer incentive and commission calculations across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional numerical aptitude, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to accurately calculate complex incentive structures based on varying business rules and performance metrics. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work with large datasets, and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and transparency in compensation calculations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing Maker-Checker controls and ensuring robust governance over incentive payouts.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual incentives, commissions, and bonuses for various departments based on predefined business rules.
  • Manage complex manual calculations and validate incentive payouts for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve incentive calculation models and trackers.
  • Reconcile incentive calculations against operational and financial data.
  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to support compensation decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, HR, and Management teams to gather and validate data required for incentive calculations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in commission and incentive calculations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of incentive payouts.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline calculation processes through advanced Excel functions and reporting tools.
  • Independently verify incentive calculations prepared by other team members and provide final validation prior to payout processing.
  • Maintain robust controls and audit trails for all incentive and commission calculations to ensure transparency, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Identify discrepancies, calculation errors, or data inconsistencies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution before final approval.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in finance, compensation analysis, commission administration, payroll, MIS reporting, or a similar analytical role.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
  • INDEX-MATCH
  • SUMIFS and COUNTIFS
  • Nested formulas
  • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a Maker-Checker control environment and handling financial reconciliations, validations, or approval processes is preferred.
  • Experience with incentive, commission, payroll, or compensation calculations will be highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in financial services, banking, insurance, mortgage brokerage, fintech, or sales-driven organizations.
  • Knowledge of commission structures, incentive plans, and performance-based compensation models.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or advanced reporting tools is an advantage.
