Finance Controller Jobs in Saudi Arabia at A Leading Middle East Manufacturing Company

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing and controlling the financial and accounting activities of company within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role ensures strong financial governance, accurate reporting, effective cash management, and full compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Reporting to the Managing Director (MD), the Head of Finance leads core accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable oversight, cash flow forecasting, purchase order and budget control, accruals and prepayments, IFRS 16 reporting, and month-end and year-end close activities. The role requires strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills, and broad accounting experience, combined with the ability to manage financial controls, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable & Financial Controls:

• Review, verify, and control payments including cash invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements, payable cheques, bank statements, and outgoing bank transfers.

• Review and reconcile supplier invoices (e.g., utilities, telecommunications, postage) ensuring proper authorization and timely payment.

• Review and reconcile employee-related payments including expense claims, housing advances, and travel payments.

• Ensure accurate filing and documentation of all payment vouchers and banking records. ? Supervise and verify month-end accrual entries and ensure accounting accuracy.

Cash Management & Forecasting:

• Work closely with Management, Administration, Collector, and Sales teams to forecast and track cash flow on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

• Identify, analyse, and report cash flow trends, risks, and variances.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports by region.

Budgeting, Reporting & Compliance:

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.

• Verify and update purchase order coding, budget alignment, and correct GL allocation.

• Review, supervise, and reconcile prepayments and accrual accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.

• Manage IFRS 16 system updates and ensure accurate reporting of lease liabilities and assets.

• Review and update balance sheet provisions and reconciliations

Audit & Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation, explanations, and reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
