We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Tax to join our team in Riyadh. As the Head of Tax, you will oversee all tax activities for Siemens entities in Saudi Arabia, including compliance, planning, risk management, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with various business units, finance, accounting teams, external tax consultants, and auditors.
Your Role – Challenging and Future-Oriented :
Implement local taxation guidelines, policies, and processes, focusing on Corporate Income Tax and Value Added Tax, and define optimization measures.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and adherence to the company’s tax strategies and policies.
Support the timely and tax-efficient preparation of financial statements in cooperation with the accounting team.
Review business decisions for tax impact, including project consultancy.
Manage and coordinate tax audits, ensuring proper documentation with relevant teams and external advisors.
Ensure all monthly tax closings and annual compliance, including tax return preparation, financial account examination, and tax calculations review within deadlines.
Guide accounting and business units on tax treatments of transactions.
Analyze local laws for compliance, liaise with tax authorities, and negotiate with officials as needed.
Collaborate with regional tax teams on international projects.
Identify process weaknesses proactively and propose solutions to ensure correct tax outputs.
Monitor legislative changes and inform departments about new tax laws and considerations.
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, reporting to the regional Tax Head and Country CFO.
Your Qualifications and Skills – Digital and Solid :
Chartered Accountant, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance and Accounting from a reputable institute.
Several years of experience in finance/accounting, with 2-5 years in a leadership role.
Experience in a multinational corporation or Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple projects/entities simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment, independently and in teams, with high accuracy.
Influence and collaborate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
Proficiency in tax compliance, planning, and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Solid SAP experience is an advantage.
