Filleter Jobs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at Chef Middle East
We are looking for experienced Filleters to join our expanding team in Dubai! Successful candidates will be responsible for filleting and portioning fishes by hand along with duties that may include, but not be limited to, general seafood processing, packaging, cleaning the processing area and equipment as needed. Candidates should have prior filleting experience, possess good communication skills and have a keen eye to detail. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!
Key responsibilities:
Food handling and preparation
- Receiving and checking the quality of fish products
- Re-icing the stock
- Filleting, portioning, peeling, cutting of seafood products
- Packing stock as per orders
- Maintaining the fish stock
- Following the instructions of the production Supervisor
Cleanliness and hygiene
- Cleaning designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, etc.)
- Washing worktables, walls, refrigerators etc.
- Segregating and removing trash and garbage and placing it in designated containers.
- Cleaning the delivery boxes and utensils and kept in designated area
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School graduate
- Previous filleting and seafood product handling experience
- Knife handling experience
- A passion for a great seafood product
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
- Ability to work safely and diligently while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
