Field Operators Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Madre Integrated Engineering
Responsibilities:
Monitoring of equipment and process conditions.
Assisting to ensure the clean, safe, effective, and optimal operation of the designated refining plant and equipment.
Assisting in operations during flawless start-up and shutdown.
Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with agreed Health, Safety, and Environment practices and procedures as outlined in the Site Management System.
Ensure that all activities in the day-to-day operation are carried out in a manner safe for personnel and equipment and minimizing the impact on the environment.
General housekeeping, isolation, and preparation of equipment for maintenance.
Continuously monitor conditions of running and static equipment during the course of the shift, able to identify problems as they arise and seek appropriate assistance.
Use all Site electronic information systems.
Sampling for laboratory testing in the plant lab.
Log and act on Lab results, liaise with Panel Operator.
Communicate events to Shift Supervisor and oncoming shift personnel.
Liaise with other operators and be flexible to work in other areas as required.
Troubleshoot and analyze process conditions continuously during the course of the shift to maintain optimal operation.
Understand the role in maintaining the Site Safety and Environment plan.
Communicate relevant changing conditions and situations to Panel Operator & Shift Supervisor.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Minimum 10 years Operational experience preferably in Water or Effluent Treatment Plant or in Utility operations or in gas plants, refineries, or chemical plants including working with contractors during start-up and turnaround.
Demonstrate ability to work in a team of operators in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Fluency in English both in writing and verbally is mandatory.
Understand and can identify when a unit or piece of equipment is deemed unsafe to continue running. Can think and act under pressure.
Identify when equipment requires urgent maintenance.
Safety and environmental awareness and ability to carry out Site Safety Emergency, Environment, and General Procedures.
Knowledge of Permit to Work process.
Knowledge of Emergency Response.
Skills in handling Hazardous Materials.
Can identify unsafe acts and take action to stop them.

Technical Skills:

Sound understanding of Site processes and equipment.
Start up and shut down of equipment.
Preparing equipment for maintenance or inspection.
Handback and commissioning of equipment.
Process control philosophy.
