Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field HVAC Inspector to oversee the inspection and quality control of HVAC installation works for the Stadium Project. The successful candidate will ensure that HVAC systems are installed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and client quality requirements while ensuring compliance with HSE regulations throughout project execution.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of HVAC installation works, including ductwork, piping, insulation, ventilation systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and applicable HVAC codes and standards.
- Inspect the installation of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, pumps, air handling equipment, and associated HVAC components.
- Witness pressure testing, duct leakage testing, air balancing, flushing, and commissioning activities.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material inspection requests, and quality documentation.
- Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and maintain quality records.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor workmanship, material compliance, and installation quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with project quality standards, client requirements, and HSE regulations.
- Support project handover by verifying mechanical completion, testing, and commissioning documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in HVAC inspection for large-scale building, commercial, sports facility, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, ventilation, ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipment installation.
- Experience in HVAC inspection, testing, balancing, commissioning, and QA/QC procedures.
- Familiarity with international standards and codes such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, ASTM, and applicable project specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, P&IDs, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
