We are looking for a highly skilled MEP Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and financial assessments for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimation & Costing:
Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates for projects.
Develop and analyze BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on project drawings and specifications.
Obtain supplier/vendor quotations for MEP materials and equipment.
Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs to determine total project cost.
2. Quantity Surveying & BOQ Management:
Conduct material take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Ensure BOQs are accurate and comply with project requirements.
Track variations and change orders during project execution.
3. Tendering & Procurement:
Assist in preparing tender documents for bidding.
Review contractor and supplier bids for MEP works.
Negotiate and recommend cost-effective procurement solutions.
4. Project Coordination & Reporting:
Work closely with MEP engineers, project managers, and architects.
Provide cost analysis and value engineering solutions.
Generate progress reports and cost tracking updates.
Ensure budget compliance throughout project execution.
Requirements:
✅ Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
✅ Experience:
5 years of experience in MEP estimation and quantity surveying.
Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
✅ Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Excel, Planswift, or CostX.
Familiarity with local construction laws and MEP codes.
✅ Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED6,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 8 per week
