Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor proficient in AutoCAD, GPS technology, and other surveying instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, mapping, and data analysis, combined with the technical expertise to create precise drawings and models.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Land Surveys:
Perform accurate land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
Measure and record precise distances, angles, and elevations.
Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
Drafting and Mapping:
Create detailed maps and drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
Develop digital models and drawings of surveyed areas.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
Data Analysis and Processing:
Analyze survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Utilize surveying software to process and interpret data.
Generate reports and presentations based on survey findings.
Equipment Management:
Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
Ensure all tools and equipment are in optimal working condition.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to surveying instruments.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate survey data.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior surveyors and technicians.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during field operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in surveying technology.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with proficiency in AutoCAD and GPS technology.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software.
Skilled in using GPS equipment, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
Strong understanding of survey data processing and analysis software.
Certifications: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.
Other Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
