Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of animal production, including breeding, feeding, health management, and housing conditions.
Develop and implement best practices to optimize animal welfare, productivity, and profitability.
Manage and lead a team of farm staff, ensuring proper training, motivation, and performance evaluation.
Monitor animal health closely and collaborate with veterinarians to address any issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of production, breeding schedules, and health programs.
Supervise the maintenance of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure related to animal care and production.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations for livestock management.
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative strategies.
Coordinate with suppliers for feed, equipment, and other necessary resources.
Prepare operational and financial reports for management review.
Skills
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Farm Manager or in a supervisory role within animal production.
Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, health management, and nutrition.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with modern technologies and equipment used in animal farming.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle challenges effectively.
Understanding of industry regulations and commitment to sustainable practices.
Proficiency in record-keeping and farm management software is a plus.
