A Family Cook is responsible for preparing daily meals for a household according to the family’s dietary preferences, cultural style, and schedule. The role includes cooking, kitchen management, and maintaining hygiene in a private home.
Main duties:
The cook prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as required by the family. They follow specific recipes or dietary instructions and ensure meals are cooked fresh and served on time.
They handle full food preparation tasks including washing, cutting, marinating, cooking, and plating food.
They maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash utensils, organize storage areas, and ensure proper food hygiene standards are followed at all times.
They may also assist with weekly menu planning, grocery shopping, and managing kitchen supplies.
