FACILITY ENGINEER – ARABIC SPEAKING Jobs in Doha at TDGISERV Qatar
The Facility Coordinator (Academy) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day hard facility management operations within a prominent educational campus environment. This role acts as the primary on-site technical representative to ensure continuous facility uptime, asset reliability, and the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong technical background in MEP systems, excellent stakeholder management skills, and an integrated teamwork approach to handle client expectations seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
1. Technical Operations & Maintenance Management
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day corrective and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for all building systems.
- Monitor engineering execution with a focus on core MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical distribution networks.
- Audit open Work Requests (WR) and ensure field teams process, execute, and close jobs within contractual KPI timeframes, avoiding last-minute backlogs.
- Identify critical spare parts requirements, verify material specifications, and liaise with Procurement to ensure timely LPO issuance and site delivery.
2. HSE, Permit to Work (PTW) & Compliance
- Enforce absolute compliance with institutional Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Rules and Regulations (R&R).
- Act as the primary controller and issuer for the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring all risk assessments, method statements, and safety controls are verified before work commences.
- Conduct routine safety walks and facility inspections to mitigate operational risks (e.g., water ingress, humidity issues, infrastructure damage).
- Ensure immediate and accurate reporting of all site safety incidents or hazards, strictly adhering to designated notification windows.
3. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the key focal point of communication for Academy directors, administrative staff, and end-users.
- Manage client expectations proactively, translating technical engineering challenges into clear, professional operational updates.
- Respond promptly to client queries, ensuring communication channels remain highly responsive to prevent client frustration or contractual penalties.
4. Administration, Reporting & Look-Aheads
- Establish a proactive look-ahead planning strategy (minimum 1-week outlook) by reviewing site demands daily.
- Draft detailed technical reports, incident breakdowns, and daily operational summaries for senior management review.
- Evaluate technical submittals, requests for extensions (RFE), and support the preparation of comparison sheets or change requests when required.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (First Preference) or Electrical Engineering (Second Preference).
- Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Facility Management, specifically handling dedicated buildings, high-profile campuses, or recognized institutional portfolios.
- Knowledge Base: Strong foundational understanding of Facility Management (FM) frameworks, asset tracking, and maintenance metrics.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, clear communication skills, and the capability to drive results under tight operational windows.
