About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Facilities Officer based in Sharjah to oversee and coordinate all aspects of facility management, ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and high service standards across both hard and soft services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance planning and scheduling of technical systems
- Supervise and coordinate soft services (cleaning, landscaping, pest control) and hard services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure health and safety compliance and implement corrective actions
- Oversee vendor selection, contract management, performance monitoring, and invoice verification
- Prepare and manage facility budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure timely resolution of facility issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service contracts, and safety audits
- Assist senior facility engineers and supervisors in project planning and execution
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in facility management or as a facility engineer
- Proven expertise in maintenance planning for technical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance procedures
- Experience managing both soft services and hard services operations
- Proficiency in vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage facility budgets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, CFM, IFMA)
- Experience working in Sharjah or UAE across multi‐site facilities
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Arabic language skills
- Background in sustainability initiatives and energy management
