About

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Director to lead the strategic planning, operation, and continuous improvement of facilities management across our world‑class leisure destinations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, efficiency, and performance of all physical assets while delivering exceptional guest and colleague experiences.

You will oversee both Hard and Soft Services
, manage large‑scale OPEX and CAPEX budgets
, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive operational excellence across maintenance, asset management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage all facilities operations across the parks, ensuring assets are maintained to the highest quality and performance standards.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop facilities teams, conducting performance reviews and supporting career progression.
  • Develop and implement facilities management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and Finance to manage division P&L and track expenditure versus budget.

Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee Hard Services and Soft Services, including HVAC, plumbing, irrigation, civil works, and general maintenance.
  • Implement and continuously improve a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) program via the CMMS.
  • Monitor CMMS data accuracy, PM effectiveness, and asset performance to reduce downtime and breakdowns.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels for spare parts and effective asset lifecycle management.

Projects & Capital Works

  • Manage and deliver CAPEX projects, including new construction, refurbishments, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide operational input and drive long‑term maintainability.
  • Oversee facility and attraction installation, ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, and drawings.
  • Sign off work completion certificates and oversee third‑party inspections.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with government health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., HACCP, firefighting systems, FLS).
  • Work closely with HSE/EHS teams to address safety logs and ensure timely rectification of issues.
  • Ensure facilities are always safe for colleagues and guests.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and properly use safety equipment to minimize workplace incidents.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage contractors and vendors, including manpower planning and SLA performance.
  • Review and manage service contracts in line with procurement processes.
  • Liaise with operational departments to ensure service requests are completed on time and operational needs are met.
  • Communicate scheduled facility interruptions clearly to all stakeholders.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor departmental KPIs, service levels, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes, systems, and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years’ hands‑on experience in installation, commissioning, or supervision as an HVAC, Electrical, or Civil Engineer.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience leading teams of engineers, contractors, or skilled trades.
  • Strong leadership, problem‑solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
