Job Summary
The Fabricator in the External Shade Division is responsible for the accurate manufacturing, assembly, and preparation of outdoor shading systems, including awnings, pergolas, zip screens, and other external shade solutions. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure all products meet company specifications and client expectations.
Requirements:
- Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and job orders for fabrication of external shade products
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, preferably in shading systems, aluminum works, or similar industry
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Hands-on experience with fabrication tools and machinery
- Basic knowledge of welding, cutting, and assembly techniques
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Physical stamina and ability to handle manual tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Understanding of motorized systems (preferred but not mandatory)
Working Conditions
- Workshop/industrial environment with exposure to machinery and tools
- May require lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Occasional overtime based on project requirements

- Ensure minimal material wastage
- Follow safety procedures strictly
- Cut, shape, and assemble materials such as aluminum, steel, and fabric components
- Operate fabrication tools and machinery (cutting machines, drills, welding equipment, etc.)
- Assemble external shade systems including frames, motorized components, and fabric installations
- Ensure accuracy in dimensions, alignment, and finishing of products
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch
- Collaborate with design, installation, and operations teams to meet project timelines
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean and safe condition
- Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in loading/unloading materials and preparing products for delivery or installation
