About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Exhibition Producer to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of exhibitions from concept through installation and opening. The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, vendors, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that each exhibition is delivered on time, on budget, and to a high creative and production standard. This is a hands-on role working closely with curators, artists, designers, fabricators, technicians, and communications teams to build engaging and professionally executed exhibition experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead production planning and delivery for exhibitions, from early concept development through installation and deinstallation.

Coordinate with curators, artists, designers, technical teams, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.

Develop and manage exhibition timelines, production schedules, installation plans, and delivery milestones.

Prepare production briefs, budgets, cost estimates, and tracking documents for each project.

Manage vendor, supplier, and contractor relationships, including fabrication, printing, logistics, AV, and installation services.

Oversee production workflows, site readiness, shipment coordination, and on-site installation logistics.

Ensure technical and operational accuracy in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

Maintain clear project documentation, meeting notes, status updates, and production records.

Support public program coordination, opening events, and project-related communications as needed.

Monitor project risks, identify issues early, and help resolve delays or production challenges efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum BA/MA in Arts Management, Production, Curatorial Studies, Fine Arts, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent professional experience preferred.

At least 3–5 years of exhibition production, project management, or related experience in a gallery, museum, cultural institution, or equivalent setting.

Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with exhibition production, contemporary art, or cultural programming.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts.

Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination, logistics, and production tracking.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively with artists, curators, designers, and technical teams.

Experience coordinating installations, fabrication workflows, or public-facing cultural projects.

Commitment to high-quality delivery, accessibility, and professional execution.

Portfolio or track record of exhibitions, productions, or project delivery examples (links or PDF).

Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
