About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded executive to drive investment attraction and ecosystem development across high-growth technology and digital sectors. This strategic role will focus on fostering innovation, attracting leading organizations, and building a thriving ecosystem spanning artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, cloud and data center infrastructure, digital platforms, emerging technologies, and tech-enabled services.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping sector growth strategies, identifying investment opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and engaging with global technology leaders to accelerate economic growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Attraction & Business Development
- Lead efforts to attract local and international investment across priority technology sectors.
- Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with technology companies, investors, venture capital firms, and strategic partners.
- Develop compelling value propositions and growth opportunities for prospective investors and businesses.
- Support investment negotiations and facilitate successful market entry and expansion initiatives.
Ecosystem Development
- Develop and execute strategies that strengthen the technology and digital ecosystem.
- Foster collaboration between industry, government entities, startups, academia, research institutions, and investors.
- Identify ecosystem gaps and design initiatives that enhance sector competitiveness and innovation.
- Build strategic partnerships that promote knowledge exchange, innovation, and business growth.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key relationship manager for senior executives, investors, industry leaders, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, investment missions, and strategic engagements.
- Build and maintain strong networks across local and international technology communities.
- Facilitate strategic collaborations that support ecosystem expansion and investment growth.
Performance & Delivery
- Drive measurable outcomes related to investment attraction, ecosystem growth, and sector development.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to assess sector impact and strategic initiatives.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for investment and growth opportunities.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or equivalent) preferred.
- Significant experience in technology sector development, investment promotion, business development, consulting, venture capital, innovation, or digital transformation.
- Strong understanding of technology markets, innovation ecosystems, and emerging digital sectors.
- Proven track record of building partnerships and driving strategic growth initiatives.
