Executive manager HIS Jobs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at Astek
For one of our clients we are looking for an experienced professional to lead end-to-end support, operations, availability, and continuous improvement of a Hospital Information System (HIS).
Key responsibilities
- Provide first-level and second-level support for HIS modules (Registration, ADT, Billing, Orders, Pharmacy, LIS) and follow up with senior team members, vendors, or L3 teams for unresolved issues.
- Manage HIS operations to ensure system stability, availability, timely incident resolution, user satisfaction, regulatory readiness, and operational efficiency across clinical and administrative modules.
- Contribute to application architecture: design, review and enhance secure, scalable, interoperable HIS architectures (clinical, admin, mobile). Deliver target architecture, integration blueprints, security‑by‑design evidence and platform strategy.
- Lead solutions design to deliver secure, high‑performing HIS solutions; own design artifacts, performance benchmarks, compliance and documentation currency.
- Govern HIS development activities and SDLC: ensure secure SDLC compliance for releases, change management via CAB with rollback plans, source control discipline, and delivery/quality metrics.
- Ensure integration & interoperability across HIS modules and external systems (labs, radiology, pharmacy, payers): standardize HL7 v2 / FHIR / DICOM, manage interface mappings, harden middleware/iPaaS and govern API lifecycle.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement with business units, senior management, partners, vendors and payers to drive operational improvements and integration efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Health Informatics or related field.
- 2–4 years’ experience in HIS support / hospital IT operations; hands‑on experience with HIS platforms (mandatory).
- Practical experience supporting HIS modules (Registration, ADT, Billing, Orders, Pharmacy, LIS) and working with EMR/HIS vendors.
- Strong understanding of hospital workflows and clinical processes.
- Technical skills:
Windows OS, basic networking, basic database (SQL preferred), HL7/FHIR awareness, experience with lab & pharmacy integrations. - Familiarity with ITSM tools (Service Now, JIRA, iService) and working within secure SDLC/change management processes.
- Communication: strong written and verbal skills in Arabic and English.
- Personal: analytical, detail‑oriented, proactive, team player, able to work in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Nice to have
- Java/.NET, Dev Ops, deeper database experience, Intersystems code‑tables, experience with NPHIES workflows, ZATCA KSA RCM modules/workflows.
