Job Description
Job Purpose:
Launching and managing an Equity Financing activity. Integrated into the Global Securities Financing team, recognized for its expertise in Credit repo, you will be responsible for launching and managing an Equity financing trading activity within First Abu Dhabi Bank. The client-driven model, proven profitable and sustainable with fixed income, will be replicated in Equity Finance to offer clients from the GCC, and beyond, liquidity, short-covering in various jurisdictions, and easier access to local shares.
You will contribute to building P&L and Risk reports, advise on process improvements for trading decisions or FO-to-BO, and collaborate with the structuring team to develop new products and optimize capital use, generating alpha from inherited positions. You will also support the sales team in onboarding new clients.
Key Accountabilities:
Launch a client-driven Equity financing trading activity
Optimize the use of resources
Manage risk carefully and achieve P&L targets for the activity
Develop reports and processes for reliable business follow-up
Share expertise within the GSF team
Onboard derivatives such as swaps, futures, options within the GSF perimeter to develop synergies and maximize value
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the capital markets industry, with a proven track record in Equity trading and Equity Financing
Practical knowledge of products used in Equity financing (TRS, IRS, Futures, Options, etc.)
Familiarity with Middle East equity markets
Experience with Murex and Triparty platforms
Autonomous, entrepreneurial, and a team player
