An Executive Chef in Offshore Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and directing thekitchen operationsto ensure that the presentation of all food items and beverages meets the highest possible standards of quality, within the agreed cost level and in adequate quantity. This role involves traveling to different offshore sites and conducting training for culinary teams in locations such as offshore platforms, barges, and ships.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee culinary operations on offshore platforms, ensuring high-quality meal preparation while adhering to strict safety and health regulations.

Develop and implementinnovativemenus that cater todiversedietary needs and preferences of crew members, while considering available ingredients.

Manage inventory and supply chain logistics to ensure timely procurement of fresh ingredients, minimizing waste and optimizing costs.

Train, mentor, and lead a team of kitchen staff, fostering acollaborative environmentand promoting continuousprofessional development.

Ensure compliance with all maritimefood safetystandards, conducting regular inspections and maintaining impeccable sanitation practices.

Collaborate with other departments to coordinate meal service times, ensuringefficient operationsduring high-demand periods.

Monitor and manage food costs, labor expenses, and budget adherence, adjusting operations as necessary to meet financial targets.

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all meals.

Engage with crew members to gather feedback on meal satisfaction and preferences, continually refining menu offerings.

Adapt to the unique challenges of offshore cooking, such as limited resources and changing environmental conditions, while maintaining high morale.

Desired Candidate Profile:

A degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management, complemented by specialized training infood safetyand nutrition.

At least 8 years of experience as a chef in high-pressure environments, preferably in offshore or remote settings.

Proven track recordof managing adiversekitchen team, showcasing strongleadershipand interpersonal skills.

Certifications infood safetyHACCP are essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Experience with menu planning and cost control in a budget-sensitive environment, demonstrating financial acuity.

A creative mindset with a passion forculinary innovation, adapting recipes to utilize available resources effectively.

Excellentproblem-solving skillsand the ability to remaincalm under pressure, essential for managing unexpected challenges.
