Chef de Cuisine – Egyptian Cuisine (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef de Cuisine to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and creating delicious and authentic Egyptian cuisine. This is a contract position with a salary of $900 per month.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine, preferably in a high‑end restaurant or hotel
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Egyptian cuisine
- Ability to lead and manage a team of kitchen staff
- Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute menus featuring traditional Egyptian dishes while incorporating modern techniques and presentations
- Purchase ingredients, maintain inventory, and ensure cost‑effective practices are followed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Collaborate with the management team on budgeting, menu planning, and marketing strategies to increase revenue
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
