Job Purpose
The Executive Chef will lead the kitchen team in providing delicious, high-quality dishes for our customers. The chef will plan menu items according to customer tastes and preferences, as well as manage the day‑to‑day operations of the kitchen. The Executive Chef will also ensure the kitchen crew is properly trained in food safety and sanitation standards, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space.
Responsibilities
- Plan menus that are creative, appetizing and cost effective
- Monitor food supplies, ordering when necessary while ensuring freshness of ingredients
- Ensure that all recipes are followed accurately
- Monitor portion control to maintain profit margins
- Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure best prices on quality ingredients
- Hire, train and supervise staff in all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation standards
- Oversee sanitation practices to ensure that all food is prepared safely according to health regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience as an Executive Chef in similar establishments
- In-depth knowledge of proper food handling techniques
- Experience with budgeting and cost control
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- A passion for creating delicious dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Flexibility in working hours
- Willingness to consider an immigrant
- Salary 1000 per month
