Job Purpose
Algihaz Power Business Unit is seeking motivated and talented Saudi Engineering Graduates to join our Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) Projects team. The Graduate Engineer will undergo structured on-the-job training and gain practical experience in the construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and project management of 132kV and 380kV transmission line projects.
The selected candidate will work closely with experienced engineers, project managers, and site teams to develop technical, operational, and leadership skills required for a successful engineering career in the power transmission sector in BISHA, HAIL, JIZAN, TABARJAL, AL-KHUSHAYBI
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Engineering Support
- Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of 132kV and 380kV overhead transmission line projects.
- Support site engineers in tower foundation, tower erection, conductor stringing, and associated civil works activities.
- Review engineering drawings, material specifications, and project documentation.
- Participate in site inspections and quality control activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Assist in preparation of technical reports, daily progress reports, and engineering documentation.
- Support testing and commissioning activities associated with transmission line works.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor site progress against project schedules and report deviations.
- Assist in tracking project materials, equipment, and resource utilization.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.
- Participate in safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessment activities.
- Promote safe work practices at project sites.
Learning & Development
- Participate in structured graduate training programs and technical workshops.
- Develop knowledge of SEC, National Grid, IEC, and international transmission line standards.
- Gain exposure to project management, engineering design, construction, and commissioning processes.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in: Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Experience
- Fresh Graduate or up to 1 year of experience.
- Internship experience in power, construction, infrastructure, or utility projects is an advantage.
Required Competencies
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of power transmission systems.
- Knowledge of engineering principles related to electrical or civil engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
