Landscape / Swimming Pool Estimator
PTWL is seeking an experienced Estimator with strong swimming pool project experience to join our team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bid proposals for landscaping and swimming pool projects, including structural works, waterproofing, MEP systems, and finishing works. You will work closely with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and accurate project pricing.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Cost Development
- Review drawings, specifications, and project scope for landscaping and swimming pool works
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for pools, including excavation, concrete, waterproofing, tiling, mosaics, coping, and finishing
- Carry out quantity take-offs for pool systems, piping, pumps, filters, and accessories
- Estimate softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and site development works when required
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare competitive bid proposals and budget pricing
- Identify cost-saving options and value engineering opportunities
Coordination & Communication
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations when required
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and procurement teams
- Clarify scope, exclusions, and technical queries with consultants and vendors
- Support project handover with cost breakdowns after award
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain cost databases, vendor pricing, and historical project records
- Prepare bid summaries, cost comparisons, and risk assessments
- Ensure all estimates follow company standards and project requirements
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of estimating experience in landscaping and swimming pool projects in the UAE
- Strong hands-on experience in swimming pool construction estimation (mandatory)
- Good knowledge of pool systems including structural, waterproofing, MEP, and finishing works
- Experience in both softscape and hardscape estimation is an advantage
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction and pool design drawings
- Strong numerical, analytical, and cost-control skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and estimating tools
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
