Job Description:
Morshedi is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with strong experience in metal fabrication, steel structure, aluminum works, and industrial projects.
The ideal candidate must be capable of reviewing drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, production calculations, and supporting the sales and production teams with fast and reliable quotations.
This role is critical to achieving our commercial targets and requires both technical understanding and strong pricing discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review RFQs, drawings, BOQs, and client specifications
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and fabrication works
- Calculate material requirements, labor hours, machine time, and subcontracting costs
- Prepare nesting and cutting plans where required
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams
- Work with TubeT, CypCut, and related software for technical estimation where applicable
- Identify commercial risks, margin control, and pricing opportunities
- Support quotation preparation and submission to clients
- Maintain estimation records and improve pricing accuracy over time
Requirements:
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience as an Estimator in metal fabrication or steel structure industry
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, aluminum works, stainless steel, and industrial manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOQs
- Experience in machine-based costing (laser cutting, bending, welding, assembly, powder coating, etc.)
- Familiarity with nesting software such as TubeT, CypCut, or similar systems
- Strong understanding of production flow and workshop operations
- Good knowledge of costing, margin analysis, and commercial decision-making
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Odoo experience is an advantage)
- UAE/GCC experience preferred
- Strong English communication skills
