Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Estimator with proven experience in bridge construction projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and supporting tender submissions. The ideal candidate must have strong exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects and hands-on experience with Candy (CCS) estimating software.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for bridge and infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis for structural elements such as foundations, piers, abutments, and superstructures
- Evaluate risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the tender stage
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Prepare and submit tender documentation within deadlines
- Participate in pre- and post-tender meetings, technical clarifications, and negotiations
- Maintain a database of cost benchmarks and historical data for future estimates
- Coordinate with planning and project teams for methodology and scheduling inputs
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an Estimator in bridge construction or major infrastructure projects
- Mandatory: Proficiency in Candy (CCS) software
- Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, materials, and sequencing
- Experience in UAE or GCC infrastructure projects preferred
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and commercial skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines
- Strong communication and coordination skills
