Job Title: Estimator – Aluminum and Glazing (Facade Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with experience in aluminum and glazing systems, particularly in facade work. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the materials, processes, and installation techniques involved in designing, estimating, and costing aluminum and glazing facades for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. This position involves working closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to provide accurate and timely cost estimates and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality facade solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation:
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for aluminum and glazing systems, including all materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Tender Analysis:
Review project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine the scope of work, material requirements, and key project elements. Analyze the scope of work to identify any potential risks or discrepancies.
Material & Labor Sourcing:
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials, finishes, and labor. Ensure all costings are up-to-date, competitive, and reflect the current market conditions.
Prepare Detailed Reports:
Develop and submit comprehensive tender documents, including cost breakdowns, material quantities, and project timelines. Provide recommendations and value engineering options as necessary.
Design Support:
Work closely with the design team to interpret drawings and identify any potential design adjustments that may affect costs. Offer suggestions for optimizing designs to achieve cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.
Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients to understand their project needs, provide technical input on aluminum and glazing options, and address any questions regarding cost or materials.
Project Coordination:
Assist project managers in transitioning from estimate to execution by helping to establish project timelines and budgets, and by providing ongoing support as required throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management:
Identify risks related to project timelines, scope, or material costs and provide solutions or contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Stay Updated on Market Trends:
Monitor industry developments, product innovations, and construction techniques related to aluminum and glazing systems. Keep abreast of pricing trends to ensure estimates remain competitive and accurate.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work closely with the estimating team, project managers, and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals, budgets, and deadlines.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for aluminum and glazing systems, with a focus on facade systems.
Proven experience in cost estimating for both commercial and residential facade projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED6,500.00 per month
