Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for engineering and construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQ, and tender documents.
- Calculate material, manpower, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations.
- Prepare technical and commercial estimation reports.
- Support tender submissions and project costing activities.
- Maintain estimation records and cost comparison sheets.
Required Skills
- Ability to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
- Experience in quantity takeoff and bill preparation.
- Knowledge of tender documentation and submission.
- Ability to compare vendor rates and project costs.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Gulf / Qatar projects.
- Knowledge of estimation software.
Work Experience Requirements
Typical: 3–7 years of relevant experience in estimation, costing, BOQ preparation, or tendering for engineering/construction projects.
Education
Minimum:
Typical Diploma / B.E /
B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering field
Preferred:
Certification in Estimation / Quantity Surveying
Additional:
AutoCAD / MS Excel / estimation software knowledge preferred
