Job Description – Estimation Engineer (Electrical, Civil & Mechanical)
Position: Estimation Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project scope.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for electrical, civil, and mechanical works.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing for oil and gas, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontract costs.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions within specified deadlines.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams during the bidding process.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential cost impacts.
- Prepare project budgets, cost analyses, and value engineering proposals.
- Evaluate project risks and include appropriate contingencies in estimates.
- Support contract negotiations and provide cost clarifications during bid evaluations.
- Maintain historical cost data and supplier/subcontractor databases.
- Assist project teams with variation orders, cost control, and commercial support during project execution.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer in oil and gas projects.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing estimates for electrical, civil, and mechanical works.
- Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software; knowledge of AutoCAD and Primavera P6 is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tender submission deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on brownfield and greenfield oil and gas projects.
- Familiarity with EPC, shutdown, maintenance, and industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of major oil and gas client standards and HSE requirements.
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors in Qatar.

Pay: QAR7,000.00 – QAR10,000.00 per month
