About the Company
An exciting opportunity is available for a Estimation Engineer (Piping & Mechanical) to join a multidisciplinary engineering company based in Abu Dhabi delivering high‑quality solutions across complex oil & gas and construction projects. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and offers exposure to technically challenging projects from bid stage through to execution.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing technical and commercial bids, working closely with engineering, procurement, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate, competitive, and compliant cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of technical and commercial bids for oil & gas and construction projects
- Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing models for piping and mechanical scope
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to define scope accurately
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to validate assumptions and costs
- Prepare bid clarifications, deviations, and risk assessments
- Support management with value engineering and cost optimisation strategies
- Ensure all estimates align with project requirements, client standards, and local regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E Mechanical Engineering)
- 12–15 years of total experience in estimation within the oil & gas / construction sector
- 6–8 years’ experience in the UAE, specifically within oil & gas projects
- Strong background in piping and mechanical systems for EPC / consultancy projects
Required Skills
- Technical and commercial bid preparation
- Cost estimation and pricing model development
- Reviewing technical specifications and drawings
- Coordination with engineering and procurement teams
- Value engineering and cost optimisation
Preferred Skills
- Experience in complex oil & gas projects within a EPC environment
- Familiarity with local regulations and client standards
