A global top-10 sovereign wealth fund is hiring an equity research analyst to join its TMT Sector Investment Team, based in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on the Telecoms, Space, and Satellite sub-sectors across Europe, North America, South America, and Africa.
The Role
The team works on both public and private deals. This position is primarily responsible for analysing publicly listed companies and pre-IPO companies preparing to list. The seniority level is Director or Vice President, depending on the candidate’s background.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct equity research on companies in the Telecoms, Space, and Satellite sub-sectors
- Analyse publicly listed and pre-IPO companies across Europe, North America, South America, and Africa
- Build and maintain financial models
- Perform valuation work
- Support investment execution
Skills & Experience
- 8 to 10 years of experience in equity research at a bulge bracket bank or leading boutique brokerage, or in a long-only asset manager
- Demonstrated experience analysing companies in at least one of the following sub-sectors: Telecoms, Space, or Satellite
- Candidates with equivalent experience in a private markets investment role focused on the above sectors will also be considered, though public equity experience is preferred
- Strong modelling and valuation skills
