Equipment Maintenance Technician, Oil Spill & Emergency Response Jobs in Doha, Qatar at IMCO ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WLL
Maintenance Technicians shall:
Carry out regular inspections, check-ups on equipment owned by Client and provided for them.
Carry out preventive maintenance of equipment on weekly, monthly, three-monthly, six-monthly and yearly basis at the response bases and stockpiles, according to Client instructions and preventive maintenance schedule list provided.
Carry out breakdown maintenance of equipment, as and when required by Client.
Refurbishment of oil spill equipment as and when required by Client.
Assist in commissioning oil spill equipment, as and when required by Client.
Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of equipment during oil spill response operations, drills, equipment familiarizations and operational exercises, which includes rigging and slinging activities.
Completion of required records and reports required by Client.
Take an active part in Toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA),risk assessmentand any other safety duty they are deemed capable of by the Client Base Supervisor.
Minimum qualifications and experience required are:
Have a valid Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Marine/Mechanical/Automobile or any related fields).
Have a minimum of five (05) years maintenance experience working with diesel engines, marine engines and similar equipment.
OR
Have a minimum of five (05) years maintenance experience (Any rank) onboard any kind of Marine vessel (Merchant Navy/Naval forces).
Capable to read and understand the technical manuals in English language.
Read electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings or specifications to determine job requirements.
Test for, locate and repair electrical malfunctions.
Capable to install insulated cables and connect switches, outlets and other fittings; connect circuit breakers, transformers, motors, heaters and other electrical components in the engines.
