Responsibilities:
- Ensure environmental compliance and permitting across the construction program, utilizing regulatory frameworks and best practices to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.
- Conduct thorough environmental assessments and audits for construction projects, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to applicable laws and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution, ensuring sustainability is prioritized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of environmental compliance activities, preparing reports for stakeholders and regulatory agencies to demonstrate adherence to environmental regulations.
- Lead training programs for staff on environmental policies and procedures, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and awareness within the organization.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation and industry standards, advising the organization on necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and enhance sustainability practices.
