Purpose

of Job

Jobholders at this level may be regarded as a source of expertise and are responsible for developing frameworks, policies, and operational plans. They analyze complex issues, understand business needs, integrate multiple concepts, and translate them into tangible actions to support and enhance the performance of the function.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct research and benchmark studies to identify the latest Environment best practices and market trends to upgrade ZATCA’s Environment standards and systems.

Develop ZATCA’s Environment guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures to guide the Environment strategy development process, utilizing the latest best practices.

Identify required resources and capabilities to assess needs and support vendor/service provider selection.

Assess vendor and external service provider performance to ensure alignment with required activities and standards.

Conduct internal assessments to identify necessary Environment training programs for all ZATCA employees.

Develop Environment seminars, awareness sessions, and training programs tailored for different employee categories to educate personnel and prevent potential incidents.

Ensure timely execution of training programs and monitor post-training competency levels to evaluate effectiveness and implement improvements if needed.

Conduct field studies across ZATCA’s facilities to evaluate incidents, risks, and hazards, and develop risk management and prevention plans.

Develop inspection and control programs for noise, wildlife, chemical spillage, and waste management to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Initiate and manage safety risk management projects to update procedures and stay aligned with best practices and trends.

Adhere to relevant policies, processes, and SOPs to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.

Support in resolving escalated problems and assist junior staff to ensure efficient operations.

Escalate complex issues to relevant personnel for proper resolution.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Train junior staff on various activities to facilitate knowledge transfer.

Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflow.

Support staff in executing duties per policies and processes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent (required).

Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent (preferred).

Experience

Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
