We are currently seeking an Operational Risk Officer to join a leading financial institution in Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with banking experience to contribute to the implementation and enhancement of the organization’s Operational and Enterprise Risk Management framework.
This opportunity is open to Qatari Nationals as part of the organization’s Qatarization initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Operational & Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Conduct Operational, IT, Vendor, New Product, and Project Risk Assessments.
- Facilitate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for risk incidents and near misses.
- Manage operational risk incidents, loss event reporting, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and vendor risk assessments.
- Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk appetite metrics, and operational risk trends.
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and risk committees.
- Collaborate with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and technology-related risks.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Support enterprise-wide risk awareness initiatives and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.
